spotme+meeting+tool 5 things . I learned on Twitter today
. @mmcallen, who is currently at Meet Different in Atlanta, shared an uber-exciting product called spotme. It “combines social networking via a searchable photo database, messaging, people radar, unique “Spotting” function and electronic business card exchange, with personalized agenda, audience response, Q&A sessions, messaging, lead retrieval, attendance tracking, electronic feedback forms (and more) to create the only all-in-one communication service for events of all sorts – from 200 to 5000 participants.” For a visual example of how it works, check out this video:

. If you haven’t been following Meet Different, you should. MPI’s annual education conference has done a wonderful job of using social media to enrich the experience of their attendees as well as those who couldn’t make it to Atlanta. Tools include Pathable, Twitter and Facebook. Check out Futurewatch – a prospectus on how events & meetings are not the source of economic problems, but the solution. Via @MPIDallas.

. @Mike-Stelzner posts a link to 180+ resources that help you track what’s being said about you.

. @AlexKaris shares a cool Resource that will turn your website into a thriving community

. @SeanMoffitt retweeted that Getting People to Talk About You Behind Your Back is actually a good thing.

5 things . I learned on Twitter today

. According to @richardPeck “More Adults Joining Social Networks.” – see the full story at Business Week

. @Zappos (Zappos CEO)asks his Twitter followers: “What movement would you start and what would you need to make it happen?”. Here’s what they had to say.

. @BestPartyEver retweeted that W hotel in Scottsdale is facing foreclosure

. @chadmcmillan shared a new search engine tool called Viewzi. Instead of having a regular ‘ho-hum’ search that turns up a bunch of copy, Viewzi shows images, content and let’s you highlight favorites. You can embed it into your blog – but right now they just support WordPress and Habari.

. Event Solutions, ISES Toronto and CSEME (Canadian Special Events Meeting & Expo) recently joined Twitter.

Also, I want to say congratulations to Tastespotting (@tastespotting) who is celebrating their 2 year birthday today!

3 things . I learned on Twitter today

I will be starting a new series which will share the top 3 things I learned on Twitter each day. Twitter is such an incredible resource for sharing ideas and opinions, it’s hard to pick just 3…

. @DaivRawks says that if you want to be retweeted, make sure you keep your message to 120 characters or less.

. @GuyHagen has launched a new Twitter tool called TwitSeeker, which is a search engine for twitterers based on their most recent updates. (Also be sure to check out TwitterFriends, a way to better understand your Twitter Friend gruops, and Tweepler, a way to organize your followers – unrelated to Guy Hagen)

. @thebrandbuilder retweeted a presentation by @ConversationAge that breaks down Obama’s amazing social media campaign.
