When my husband and I celebrated our honeymoon, we opted for a month in Europe. One of the towns we visited along the way was a beautiful place called Orvieto. Known to Italians as the “green heart of Italy”, it is lesser known to tourists and is centrally located between Rome and Florence. It’s location, beauty and rich Etruscan history made it  a must on our list of places to see.

I recently came across some stunning pictures of a wedding that Artfool (now named Matthew Robbins designs) designed and executed in Orvieto. Having been to this beautiful place, I think they did a wonderful job of capturing the essence of this magical Italian town.

We’ve all been there. You’ve slaved away on a project…giving up your weekends and a bit of sanity. The project is a huge success and as a thank you, your boss hands you an envelope. You unwrap it with shaking hands, eagerly anticipating the treat that will be hidden within the folds of your thank you letter. Wait for it…wait for it… A flower of the month card? But I’m allergic to flowers! Getting a thank you gift for a client, supplier, boss or employee can be tough – especially when you don’t know their likes and dislikes.

Although I’m an advocate for personalized thank yous, sometimes it’s not always possible. Which is why I was delighted by the brilliant, yet simple (aren’t most brilliant things simple?) idea that I read in Ignite Magazine. Smart Box is a beautifully wrapped box that contains different activities the recipient can choose from. All you have to do is select the theme: Serenity, Adventure, Adrenaline, Unique Escapes, Charming Getaways, Gourmet Getaways and Royal Escapes. With a range of over 500 activities and escapes there’s sure to be at least one thing they’ll love. Each box can be customized and logoed as well!
