It’s that time again! Time to weigh in on our Love It or Hate It game. These gorgeous emu eggs were served up at The Hollywood Roosevelt’s Library Bar by famed bar tender and creator of culinary cocktails, Matthew Biancaniello. To use them as cocktail vessels, Matthew had to file down the rims, coat them and add a mouthpiece for sipping.

I haven’t done this in a while, but this one was too good to pass up. This totally unique cake from Momofuku Milk Bar in New York is an attention-getter. What say you – head turner or head scratcher?

Yes, it’s true. Your prayers have been answered. Now you can hold your beer bottle and your plate in the same hand…thanks to the Go Plate. Just don’t try to drink your beer when your plate is full.
Not to be confused with its classier version the James plate by Olaf Kiessling.
The question of the day: Love it? Or, Hate it?

I’m an admitted chocoholic. A chocolate bar is a daily staple in my diet – a dreamy, creamy, decadent staple. The problem is my Mother told me more than once that “a moment on the lips is a lifetime on the hips”. And I’m waiting for that day when my chocolate-eating ways will catch up to me.
Le Whif says worry no more. Why? They’ve create a revolutionary new way of eating chocolate – by breathing it! 200 mg of tiny chocolate powder particles are puffed into the mouth, for all the taste of chocolate in under 1 calorie. Le Whif is available in 4 flavors: mint chocolate, raspberry chocolate, mango chocolate, and plain chocolate.
No doubt this would be a really novel experience at an event. And I could see it doing very well at a fashion event, where being seen with anything other than a cigarette and a luxury water bottle is almost equal to blasphemy. Will it replace my need for chocolate? I think not. I would feel cheated out of the simple delights of unwrapping the package, chewing, tasting textures and even the guilt that ensues.
I think some things are just worth the risk. What do you think?

In BizBash’s latest version of The Scout, they run a great feature on economical alternatives to fancy passed hors d’oeuvres or dinner. So, what do you think about hard-boiled quail eggs with ground pepper, chili, and lime salt mixes? Love it or hate it?

A portable system, for events, that can laser-etch a cell phone, a laptop, an iPod or virtually any other compact product, with an image (logo, icon, name, etc). I recently experienced this at an event and my table and I brainstormed some very interesting possibilities. For instance, give your event guests a branded keychain and let them laser-etch the other side with whatever they want.
