When you’re in a structurally impactful space, sometimes the best thing to do is create understated design elements. Brassavolas Floral Couture did just that when they created these neutral sleek florals for a wedding. Instead of fighting and overpowering an architectural space, they complemented it…much like pairing a simple yet stunning piece of jewelry with a powerful dress. The perfect combination.

Stumped on a color scheme? Be sure to check out Daily Color Scheme, an every day color resource delivered fresh every day. There’s a full database of schemes that you can search through & if you find one you like you can either download it in the desired format or import it into your design program. Very cool!

There are many places to go for inspiration. One of my favorite sources is the luxury wallpaper industry – these companies have to forecast color and print trends. They create aesthetically beautiful roomscapes by mixing palettes, textures and prints. One such example is Osborne & Little. They’ve created some stunning stories…just take a look at some of the pictures below.

Run out and get the latest edition of Grace Ormonde. The luxury wedding resource diva has done a feature on tabletops that’s to-die-for!

I’m a stickler for invites. I mean, so much time and effort is put into developing the visual and communication strategy for the event…but a lot of people miss the importance of setting up the expectations prior to the event.
So when I came across Michaela Edwards on Flickr, I was so excited. Michaela works for the financial news website-giant Bloomberg.com. She is “event anticipation” personified! Just take a look at these great invite designs…
