Instead of fighting and overpowering an architectural space, they complemented it…much like pairing a simple yet stunning piece of jewelry with a powerful dress. The perfect combination.

There are many places to go for inspiration. One of my favorite sources is the luxury wallpaper industry – these companies have to forecast color and print trends. They create aesthetically beautiful roomscapes by mixing palettes, textures and prints. One such example is Osborne & Little. I’m a stickler for invites. I mean, so much time and effort is put into developing the visual and communication strategy for the event…but a lot of people miss the importance of setting up the expectations prior to the event.
So when I came across Michaela Edwards on Flickr, I was so excited. Michaela works for the financial news website-giant Bloomberg.com. She is “event anticipation” personified! Just take a look at these great invite designs…
