Recently we launched a program at Regal Tent called “Plant a Forest”. For every new client to Regal, we will plant 7 trees through Trees Canada. Inspired by the ever-fabulous (and previously blogged about) MyEmma.com, our goal is to continue giving back through environmental and social programs.
In researching green programs I’ve been delighted to come across some fantastic event-related ideas and products that take ‘green thinking’ to a whole new level…

They would look so stunning as centerpieces…and quite frankly would be a good DIY project; Love, love, love these Denise Sharp paper hats. Living plant walls not only provide a unique green aesthetic to any space, they also:
- Improve air quality
- Reduce pollution
- Reduce heat and cool ambient temperature
- Reduce the urban heat island effect
- Reduce noise (can act as a noise barrier)
They can also be incredibly portable.

Dancing, flickering flames casting shadows…beautiful glowing orbs of light – the romance of lighting at night is undeniable. From suspended candles to luminaries to lanterns, one thing is for certain, the more the better.

David Monn, Gloss Creative and Yabu Pushelberg show that texture is at its best when showcased on a wall.

So pretty . So fresh . So spring. So chartreuse.

A few years ago, we were all inspired by the beauty of using different chair styles at a tablesetting. After all, there’s something sophisticated and unexpected about visual diversity. I adore this design style, which is why I’m so delighted to see it translated to lighting – and highlighted recently by so many great blogs. Yum, yum.

What a brilliant yet simple idea for lighting! Levy Lighting NYC projected gorgeous chandelier images onto scrims to flank the entrance to the dining area for a “New York Welcomes Europe” corporate merger event.
