I was lucky enough to be included in a ‘holiday reading’ blog list a couple of months ago and thought I would return the favor by highlighting a few of my favorites. A mix of design, wedding, planning and inspiration blogs…each has its own distinct flavor and reason for being. Enjoy (click on any of the images to go directly to their site)!

As with most anything I do, I jumped into the world of blogging with both feet. What’s a blog? I’m not sure…why don’t I start one myself. How do I write HTML code? I have no idea…let’s do some research. It’s now been two months and as I get further and further immersed into this eye opening and often stimulating new world I find myself stumbling upon great new blogs. One such site that I would like to highlight is Kim Vallee.
Why do I love it? I’m sure you’ll find this question obvious when you visit her site. It’s not only a fantastic resource for ideas, but Kim dissects each concept into stimulating how to’s, tips and suggestions. This blog is a must have in your armory of planning tools.

Liene over at Blue Orchid Designs appeared recently on ABC’s Sonoran Living to discuss sustainable weddings. Take a look at her great tips and green resources on her blog.

Well, OK, maybe it’s a 1 way conversation…but thanks to Liene over at Blue Orchid Designs I just found out that the fabulous Preston Bailey has launched his own blog. Although very new (only 3 posts so far), I’m sure it will be filled with all of the great thoughts and ideas that Preston is known for.

Since July I’ve dove head first into the world of blogging. As I’ve immersed myself in this strange yet exciting new land, I’ve come across some brilliantly creative sites. Sites that make me laugh, make me think, and make me want to run out and go shopping. They highlight the best and brightest in events, design, strategy, marketing, food, and fashion. I’ve listed some of my favorites along the right side of my web page…but read on because I’m going to tell you more about my flavours of the month.
Housemartin – A veteran in the fashion textile design industry, the author of this blog recently switched gears to pursue her passion of home and floral design. She showcases breathtaking imagery and ideas – not to mention, she is an exceptionally talented floral artist. I feel as if I’m on a delightful treasure hunt every time I visit this blog.
Social Design – Lyndsi Joy and Amanda Domergue are two very funny and talented event designers. Their blog is choc full of inspirational products and ideas. Just take a look at the lighted tree they featured in their blog today!
Blue Orchid Designs – I’m always blog stalking Liene’s site! With a focus on weddings, Blue Orchid Designs provides tons of inspiration and stylish ideas. In fact, Liene recently started her “Over a Cup of Coffee” series where she interviews influencers in the world of events…Sylvia Weinstock, Grace Bonney of design sponge, and Abby Larson of Style Me Pretty are some of her recent interviews.
Daily Candy – I just came across this site recently and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! If you want to stay on top of the latest news in fashion, food and fun, just sign up to get free daily emails. Get the insiders scoop on the hottest restaurants, boutiques and restaurants in some of the most influential cities across the US.

Well, it’s official. Although I am now posting my 101th post, I have not yet resorted to blog-snobbery. I now have a new favorite on the block & would like to introduce you to The Kitchen Pantry. Smartly written by Sara Piperita, this blog is a fantastic source of information & inspiration for food recipes.
Having just completed an exhaustive trip to Greek Town (I had to take at least 2 trains to get there), I couldn’t imagine that seeing any Greek food would excite me…at least for another 2 weeks. BUT, Sara managed to get me salivating with her mouthwatering glass of Greek salad.
Thank you, Sara. Thanks a lot.
