READY2SPARK.com is a personal blog written and edited by Lara McCulloch-Carter and does not reflect the view of our clients or former employers. With all of that writing and editing we do on occasion make typos. We’d like to apologize in advance.

This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship or other forms of compensation. Sure, we get paid (a little) but in no way is making money off of advertising the focus of the blog. The little bit of scratch we make helps us improve our visitors’ blog experience. Did you notice the recent design refresh? You can thank our sponsors for that :)

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. Any content considered advertising will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.

The owner of this blog is not compensated to provide opinion on products, services, websites and various other topics. The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely the blog owners. If we claim or appear to be experts on a certain topic or product or service area, we will only endorse products or services that we believe, based on our expertise, are worthy of such endorsement. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer or provider. If your eyes glazed over after reading this, rest assured that if you contact us asking us to talk about your product or service in a favorable manner in exchange for money, we will (very respectfully) tell you to fly a kite.

If we mention a client in a post, a tweet or a Facebook status update, we will disclosed the relationship in that post. Any client-related tweets and Facebook updates will be identified with a ^CLIENT suffix.

The owner of this blog would like to disclose the following existing relationships. These are companies, organizations or individuals that may have a significant impact on the content of this blog.

  • I serve on the board of Event Solutions, Events Asia and formerly ISES Canada and ISES Toronto and BizBash.TO.
  • I am the founder of #eventprofs and the #eventprofs Blog Awards. As my babies I like the gush about them. On occasion I also spank them (so, if you’re an #eventprof, watch out).
  • I am the the proud, card carrying President of READY2SPARK.
  • I am an affiliate for ScribeSEO because I have tried and liked the product and think it would add value for my blog readers.
  • I will be a paid speaker at numerous events. On occasion I choose to blog about my experience at these conferences. In these situations I will disclose the relationship in that blog post.
  • I  have affiliate relationships with an extremely small group of professionals to promote my webinars. I have asked all of these affiliate partners to ensure they are open and transparent about our relationship. I have also ensured that anyone who promotes my webinars have experienced the content. I have provided no guidance on what they should say about the webinars – I only ask that they are honest with their experience. In other words, ethical promotion is the only promotion I advocate.
  • Lastly, I have a love for all things chocolate. But my favorites are Cadbury Mini Eggs. I often blog after eating a bag because I’m on a chocolate high. If this is ever the case you will be able to tell because my shaking hands will likely cause a number of ttttyyypos. Please note that Cadbury is unaware of my loyalty and does not compensate me in any way, shape or form…yet (hint, hint, Cadbury)
