On my exhaustive hunt through the world wide web for honeymoon hotels I came across Baby Grand. A visual feast for the senses, I was totally inspired by the design of this hotel (the antithesis of virtually every other hotel in Athens, Greece). Just check out the image below. Totally inspiring…and totally easy to replicate on the cheap. Remember those paper dolls you used to create as a kid? This would be so fantastic as a divider between event spaces…

God bless the Great White North and our love of beer…real beer.

I just love these precious lavender dryer sachets via etsy. They would make the most delightful gifts / giveaways. An eco-friendly option (at least for those who still use a dryer) and very elegant…and only $8.00 for a set of 3.
Each sachet:
♥ will scent approximately 10 loads of laundry.
♥ has a generous 1/2 cup of lavender buds in each one.
♥ is made from reclaimed (and thoroughly cleaned) fabrics that have been tested for color-fastness and durability.
♥ double-stitched edges for durability — no escaping buds in your dryer!
♥ measures 7 inches by 4.25 inches (17.8 cm by 10.8 cm.)
Once a sachet’s scent begins to fade, you don’t have to throw it away! They still smell lovely, and would lightly scent a drawer or small closet. Or, you can recharge the scent with a few drops of lavender essential oil, and continue to use them in your dryer.

Dear Manhattan,
We flew over to see you last week with high hopes of finding the perfect shoes for my perfect wedding dress. I was certain that in the mecca of shoes it would be an easy decision – do I want the Manolos, the Choos or the Louboutins? But Manhattan, I never imagined that we would wander the streets…from Midtown to Soho…during a massive shoe sale week…for 3 days…and walk away empty handed! My fear, at the end of those 3 days, was that our love affair may just be over. But alas, with a little bit of internet research, we found our saviour. A little store on the 6th floor of an unsuspecting building in Chelsea held the key to our happiness. My Glass Slipper had a wonderful variety of designer shoes AND the Stuart Weitzman’s I ended up buying came in at a fraction of the cost of the other shoes I had been trying on. Manhattan, you’ve redeemed yourself. I will see you again when I have to buy my clutch ;-)
Sincerely,
Lara
