What I do know is that I have met some pretty wonderful people in the 2 years I’ve been in this industry. They have all played such an instrumental role in my life and my career – from inspiring me to schooling me to simply being a friend. The special events industry is full of passionate and giving people and I am so proud to be amongst all of them.

I would also like to thank all of you for your thoughts, ideas and comments for the last 9 months. I never imagined that I would be sharing my feelings with hundreds of people almost every day. But everyone who has communicated with me has somehow shaped and crafted the way I write or the way I think.

So, thank you to everyone and congratulations to all of the award recipients and nominees from last night’s ceremonies. We should all be very proud to be a part of something so special!
