I’m absolutely head over heels for Gump’s San Francisco . I especially love their laquered products. From the distressed laquer table (top image) to the stone-like laquered pieces (middle right) to the shiny laquer mini stools (bottom left), it’s a new take on elegance.

Laquered pieces are readily available at event rental companies – but all too often they’re paired with ultra-contemporary furniture pieces and design elements. I like the look of mixing shine with rustic or distressed with sleek.
