It’s a looooong weekend this weekend and I will be busy with birthdays, barbecues and well, relaxing. I plan to make myself scarce – so you probably won’t be hearing much from me until Tuesday. Although cutting off my blogging activities will be much like severing an arm, I am excited to let you know that when I’m back up & running I’ll have a fantastic story for you…
Stay tuned for my interview with Event Planner of the Year, Ruth Moyte!

Well, OK, maybe it’s a 1 way conversation…but thanks to Liene over at Blue Orchid Designs I just found out that the fabulous Preston Bailey has launched his own blog. Although very new (only 3 posts so far), I’m sure it will be filled with all of the great thoughts and ideas that Preston is known for.

Well, we’re heading down to Central Park this weekend to put up an amazing tent complex for another fantastic Ralph Lauren show. We’ve hired aerial photographer Simon Feldman, so I hope that we’ll be able to share some photos with you (pending client approval, of course). Fashion shows are my all time favorite types of jobs to work on. These clients value creativity and innovation and always want what has never been done before (OK, OK, this can sometimes be a challenge…but who doesn’t love a good challenge?, right??).
I’m also happy to announce that we’ve been working with the always wonderful Robin Kay since March of this year and will officially be moving L’Oreal Fashion Week from a boring venue (ho, hum – ;-)) to tents! By the way, if in Toronto, DO NOT MISS THIS SHOW!
I look forward to keeping you posted…

Check out this very cool table by Rahle. It can be configured in oh so many different ways. Use it in corners, use it as a full square table and insert a floor-standing centerpiece, or use it as a standard rectangular table. The choice is yours.

Ever had the wild idea of dropping product samples, CDs or other fun materials out of a plane? No? I have. Well, with CopterBox you have a lower-cost alternative to parachutes, AND unlike parachutes you don’t have to go back to pick them up (that is, as long as you don’t use them in the rain). CopterBox is made of cardboard!

Ichendorf, one of Italy’s finest glass producers has launched the new Provence line of glassware. I just love the shape of these delicate glasses.

I have the admit, the pictures make me chuckle – don’t be turned off if you’re not a futuristic Cleopatra! The behive lounge system by extremis will be launched in 2008. This cool new product was modeled around a trampoline and was designed to mold to the lounger’s body…providing the ultimate in comfort. As the name suggests, the round environment (much like a round table) encourages gathering and conversing.
